1615 Judson, Evanston
This listed historic Evanston residence consisted of an original three story Victorian structure (c. 1878) with an unfortunate addition built in the 1980's, which did not acknowledge the details, proportions, and general character of the original house. Adding 280 square feet helped to correct many of the previous addition's problems. The existing kitchen was completely gutted and expanded outward, a new family room was created directly off of the kitchen and the existing master bath was reconfigured. Additionally, a colonnaded verandah was designed to transition the interior space to the landscaped gardens.
